What is a Lymphoma Walk team?team kweit_team lrf

A walk team is group of people who walk together and raise funds for their local Lymphoma Walk. Each team must have at least one team captain and a team name. Teams can have up to 10 team captains, and can range anywhere from 2 - 200 members or more. Teams can represent schools, community, religious, social or fraternal organizations, businesses, families or friends.

How do I form a team?

You can start or join a team online. Please click here for step-by-step instructions on how to start or join a team. 

Do teams have to fundraise?

Teams are not required to fundraise in order to join the walk, but we strongly encourage all teams to fundraise in our to help he Lymphoma Research Foundation's mission. 

If someone registers for the Lymphoma Walk as an individual, can they still join my team?

To join a team after you or your friend has registered as an individual, contact Cat Aracil at caracil@lymphoma.org and ask to be transferred to the team that you wish to join.

Is there a deadline to register for the Lymphoma Walk?

Online registration will close at 5pm EST the day before the Walk, but you can register on walk day by visiting the registration tent the morning of the walk. Visit the the Active Lifestyle Events page for more detailed information on your local Lymphoma Walk. 

tshirt white_team lrfCan someone register for my team on the day of the Lymphoma Walk and still be added to my team?

Yes-- when you fill out the registration form at the Check-in/Registration tent, be sure to write your name and the name of the team you are walking with on your form. Let the Registration volunteer know that you are joining a team so they can be sure you have filled in this information correctly. If you are turning in donations during registration, include your name and the team name on the donation. 

 

Can donations made to a team be split or shared among team members?

We are unable to split or transfer donations between individual and team accounts.

Please include this offline donation form when mailing in donations to help ensure your donations are credited properly. Please do not send cash in the mail. 

Are cash donations accepted?

Yes, please bring cash donations to the Lymphoma Walk. You will be given a donation envelope to put your cash donations in. Please do not send cash in the mail. chicago11.jpg


Where do we meet on Lymphoma Walk day?

In general, we don’t provide a specific meeting spot for teams. However, top fundraising teams may qualify for VIP tent space or a table and banner on Walk day. Please visit your local Lymphoma Walk webpage for more details.
