Help Me Help Others
When I first started running 2 years ago I warned all my runner friends: I will not be doing any turkey trots or 5Ks. Running is a solitary activity. It's "me" time. And it still is and I love that hour I spend several times a week listening to music, releasing stress and letting thoughts and ideas bubble up. But a couple weeks ago I had the opportunity to sponsor my friend Shindy in this race, her first race ever. And after finding out about her present day experience having a close family member affected by Lymphoma and how the Lymphoma Foundation was helping Shindy's family in very real and practical ways, I decided to run the race with Shindy.
So here we are!
Please help us raise money for the Lymphoma Foundation so that they can continue to support families like Shindy's in everyday ways and to find a cure. Few of us expect our lives to be affected by the illness of an immediate family member. When my mom had her stroke at the age of 50, my life changed in a moment. And was never the same again. That's why I offered to run with Shindy in addition to donating to the cause. I wanted her to know that she was not alone.
I'm honored and thrilled to be part of Shindy's Team. Please join us by making a donation.
